Ionic Security Inc. (“Ionic”) is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. This privacy notice sets out how Ionic uses and protects any information that you give us when you use this website. Because we are dedicated to maintaining your trust and respecting your preferences, we adhere to the practices described in this Privacy Notice.

What We Collect

Ionic may collect the following information: name, company name and job title; contact information including email address and telephone number; demographic information such as zip code, postcode, preferences and interests; other information relevant to the products or services we provide. We may require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better experience, and in particular for internal record keeping. We may use the information we collect to improve our products and services. We may also periodically send promotional emails about our set of services, events/ conferences, industry news, or other information which we think you may find interesting, using the email address which you provide. We may contact you by email, phone or mail. We may use the information to customize the website according to your interests.

Ionic may also collect other information through your interaction with and use of our website. Other information may include, but is not limited to, browser and device information, data collected through automated electronic interactions, application usage data, demographic information, geographic or geo-location information, statistical and aggregated information.

Statistical or aggregated information does not directly identify a specific person, but it may be derived from personal information. For example, we may aggregate personal information to calculate the percentage of users in a particular zip code.

In some instances, we may combine other information with personal information, such as combining a precise geographical location with your name. If we combine other information with personal information, we will treat the combined information as personal information.

Ionic is committed to ensuring that your personal information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

How collected data is used
Tracking Information

When you access the  website, we capture, record, and retain general data about your use of the website including, without limitation, your domain name, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the name and location of the web page from which you entered the website, the locations you visit within the website and the amount of time you spend on each page of the website (collectively, “Tracking Information”). We use Tracking Information to help administer, update, and enhance the website.

Cookies

“Cookies” are pieces of data sent from a Web server to a Web browser that enable a Web server to identify users that visit a website hosted by the server. We use Cookies to identify visitors and registered users on the website, the Ionic.com  dashboard, and the customer support site so that we can provide you with more customized information and services. At your discretion, you may configure your Web browser not to accept cookies from our website. However, if you do not accept cookies from our website, you may lose access to certain aspects of the website or experience decreased performance of the website. You must use cookies to access the Ionic.com dashboard and customer support sites.

Other Information

As a visitor to or registered user of the website, you may choose to send us a question via email. We will use this information to communicate with you and to enhance the website to better meet your needs.

Restrictions on disclosing information to Third Parties

We do not reveal personally identifiable information about you to third parties for their independent use unless: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) we are compelled to provide the information to comply with law enforcement (for example, to comply with a valid search warrant, subpoena or court order); (3) we need to enforce an agreement we have with you; or (4) we are required to do so to address disputes, claims, or to persons holding a legal interest.  We may also gather aggregated data about website visitors and disclose the results of such aggregated (but not personally identifiable) information to our partners, service providers, or other third parties for marketing or promotional purposes.

Social Sharing Features

Ionic may offer social sharing features and other integrated tools (such as the Facebook “Like” button), which let you share information on our website with other media.  The use of such features enables the sharing of information with your friends or the public, depending on the settings you establish with the entity that provides the social sharing feature. Promotional Communications

You may opt out of receiving promotional communications from Ionic by following the instructions provided in those communications or by replying to the communication.  If you email us to unsubscribe from our commercial email messages, please include the word “UNSUBSCRIBE” in the email subject line.  Please note that if you opt out of receiving promotional communications, we may still send you transactional or relationship messages, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.

Some non-marketing communications are not subject to general opt-out, such as communications related to product download, sales transactions, software updates and other support related information, patches and fixes, conferences or events for which you have registered, disclosures to comply with legal requirements, and (where permitted by law) quality assurance surveys. Some additional communications with partners are also not subject to general-opt out, including product alerts, updates, contractual marketing and sales materials, and other notices related to partner status.

Controlling your personal information

Reasonable access to personally identifiable information that Ionic holds about you will be provided as required by applicable regulations or statutes.  Ionic will address requests for the correction of any inaccuracies within such data according to applicable laws. Such requests should be made via email to Ionic’s Global Privacy Officer at [email protected].  Ionic will use reasonable efforts to supply, correct or delete personal information that we hold about you or to advise you if we are not required by applicable laws to comply with such requests.

Your Rights to Prevent Sharing
Ionic Security Inc. and the EU-U.S. PRIVACY SHIELD

Ionic and all of its subsidiaries comply with the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework Principles issued by the U.S. Department of Commerce (the “Principles”) regarding the transfer of personal information from the European Union to the United States.  We have certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Principles.  If there is any conflice between the terms in this Privacy Notice and the Principles, the Principles will govern.  To learn more about the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield, and to view Ionic’s certification on the Privacy Shield List, please visit www.privacyshield.gov.

Ionic’s accountability for any personal information that it receives under the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield and subsequently transfers to a third party is described in the Principles. In particular, Ionic remains responsible and liable under the Principles if third-party agents that we engage to process personal information on our behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless we prove that we are not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.

Ionic also maintains an affirmative commitment to the U.S.-Swiss Safe Harbor Framework and its principles, which will not be affected by Ionic’s participation in the Privacy Shield.

Resolving privacy issues

If you have any questions about this Privacy Notice, any concerns about privacy at Ionic, or any EU-U.S. Privacy Shield-related (or general privacy-related) inquiries or complaints, please contact us by email at [email protected].  Ionic is subject to the investigatory and enforcement powers of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).  For any complaints that cannot be resolved with Ionic directly, Ionic has chosen to utilize the JAMS Privacy Shield Program in relation to such unresolved complaints (as further described in the Principles). As further explained in the Privacy Shield Framework Annex I, a binding arbitration option will also be made available to you in order to address residual complaints not resolved by any other means.
