Adam Ghetti
Founder/CTO, Ionic Security
Adam Ghetti, technologist and entrepreneur, founded Ionic Security in 2011 to address the problem of trust in our machine scale world. He has over 15 years of experience building large-scale systems in multiple Internet-related markets. He is an expert in complex systems and task automation along with an applied knowledge of application security, network security, data security, and artificial neural networks. He was recognized by Forbes as a 30 under 30-thought leader in technology and by the World Economic Forum as a Technology Pioneer. Additionally, Mr. Ghetti serves on the Global Future Council on Cybersecurity on behalf of the World Economic Forum, as an elected member of the Council on Foreign Relations, as a member of both the advisory board for the College of Computing and the Institute for Information Security and Privacy at Georgia Tech, a charter member of TiE, a Distinguished Lecturer for the Robson Program at Emory University, and as a board member for Savvy Cyber Kids a 501(C)(3) providing educational materials for families to better enable them in navigating the digital world safely.

Eric Hinkle

Eric has over 30 years of experience, most recently as Operating Executive with Marlin Equity Partners, where he conducted operational due diligence and served as Chairman for multiple companies including Asentinel, CompassLearning, Logi Analytics, LogicBlox/Predictix, Longview/Tidemark, Mapp, Serenova, Verisae, and Vivonet. Previously, he served as CEO of Servigistics, an exited Marlin portfolio company and global provider of Service Lifecycle Management software; CEO of MediaOcean, a provider of web-enabled sales and order management, invoicing, and e-business solutions; and President and COO of Radiant Systems, a global provider of point-of-sale, store management, and headquarters management solutions. Additional experience includes key roles at AlliedSignal Aerospace, McKinsey & Company, and IBM Research. Eric earned a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Brown, an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from Stanford, and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Kevin Mandia
CEO, FireEye
Kevin Mandia is the CEO of FireEye, a global cyber security company that protects organizations from cyber attacks. Prior to FireEye, Kevin founded Mandiant Corporation and as CEO, grew it to a profitable, self-funded organization with approximately 500 employees and over $100M in revenue.In the private sector, Kevin served as a director in the security consulting divisions of Sytex (Lockheed Martin) and Foundstone (McAfee).Kevin co-authored two books on responding to security breaches, taught advanced graduate classes on cyber security at George Washington University and Carnegie Mellon University, and provides regular cyber security commentary and analysis for national print and broadcast media.

Steven Scopellite
Board Member, Ionic Security
Steven Scopellite is recognized as a top financial technology leader. His distinguished, 28-year career at Goldman Sachs includes having served as global head of the firm’s 8,000-person Technology Division and as Chief Information Officer, where he played a key role in the development of the firm’s global funding platform and early expansion into electronic trading. Steven currently serves on the boards of Akamai Technologies (AKAM), and Soltage, a leading renewable energy provider. He is the chair of the Riverview Medical Center Foundation Board of Trustees and serves as an advisor and consultant to the CIO Strategy Exchange (CIOSE). His work has earned him recognition on Institutional Investor’s recent Tech 50 list.
Ted Schlein
Managing Partner, KPCB
Ted Schlein focuses on early-stage technology companies in the enterprise software and infrastructure markets. Since 1996, he has led KPCB's investments in a number of security companies, including ArcSight (IPO, then sold to HP) and Internet Security Systems (IPO, then sold to IBM). Ted was the founding CEO of Fortify Software, a pioneer in the software security market and now an HP company. He serves on the board of directors of 3VR, Area 1 Security, IronNet Cybersecurity, Shape Security, Synack and Trusona. Additionally, Ted oversees KPCB's investments in Bit9 and Endgame Systems.
Tom Mawhinney
General Partner, Icon Ventures
Tom Mawhinney joined Icon Ventures in 2003 as a General Partner, bringing a 15-year background in the technology industry as both a venture capitalist and an entrepreneur. Tom has a wide range of technology investing experience and brings a passion for helping to scale young, rapidly growing companies. His venture investing capabilities were acknowledged when he was named to the AlwaysOn Venture Capital 100 Power Players in the Cloud and Entrepreneurial Power Player - West lists.
Tom Noonan
Operating Partner, TechOperators
Tom Noonan is a General Partner at TechOperators. Tom is the former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Internet Security Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISSX), which was acquired in 2007 by IBM for $1.3B. Tom Noonan and Chris Klaus launched ISS in 1994 to commercialize and develop a premier network security management company. Under Tom’s leadership, ISS revenue soared from startup in 1995 to nearly $400 million dollars in its first decade. The company grew to more than 2,000 employees, with operations in more than 36 countries.

Robert Ball
Chief Business Development Officer & General Counsel
Robert serves as Ionic’s Chief Business Development Officer and General Counsel. He also serves as the company's Global Privacy Officer. Previously, Robert was a partner at Eversheds Sutherland where he was a member of the firm’s Cybersecurity & Privacy team. Prior to Eversheds Sutherland, Robert was a senior executive at Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ: AKAM). As head of Business & Corporate Development, Robert managed Akamai’s corporate strategy, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, M&A, and technology licensing. Robert also served as Akamai’s first General Counsel, where he oversaw Akamai's initial public offering and oversaw all aspects of its corporate legal affairs. Robert also served as Vice President, International and directed Akamai's international expansion and rapid growth across Asia and Europe.
Ken Green
Vice President, Product Development
Ken has been a builder and user of information, application and network security products for over 25 years. He is passionate about delivering products that solve real business problems and enable people to make better and faster decisions. Ken has a diverse background in product development and security operations in both the Federal government and the commercial security product and services industries. He currently serves as Vice President of Product Development at Ionic Security.
Ben Halpert
Vice President, Risk and Corporate Security
Ben is a noted author, speaker, and practitioner of risk management, security, privacy, and compliance. He is also the founder of the non-profit Savvy Cyber Kids that creates and delivers age-appropriate security, privacy, bully response, and cyber ethics resources and educational tools that enables youth, families and school communities to be empowered by technology. Prior to joining Ionic Security, Ben was the Director of Risk Management and Compliance for McKesson and spent over 11 years in Corporate Information Security at Lockheed Martin.
Matt Quarles
Vice President, Global Sales and Marketing
Matt Quarles oversees all Sales and Pre-Sales efforts globally at Ionic. Prior to Ionic, Matt spent 6 years at Google helping to advance the world's movement to Cloud Computing, inspiring C-Level executives to think differently, break down barriers to change, and adopt a new way of working in the digital age. Matt has also served in various technology and Sales and Consulting leadership roles, including 9 years as a Management Consulting Executive at Accenture where he provided strategy, sales and project delivery leadership over $200M in client engagements internationally and nationally; and 3 years leading Sales for the Southeast Region for Vignette. Matt graduated from the University of Richmond with a B.S. of Business Administration and Computer Science minor, and lives in Atlanta with his wife and four young children.
Ken Silva
Vice President, Operations and Infrastructure
Prior to joining Ionic Security in 2014, Ken was the SVP of Cyber Strategy at ManTech, and prior to that he was the Senior Executive Advisor on Cyber Technologies at Booz Allen Hamilton. From 2000 to 2010, Ken held multiple leadership positions at VeriSign, such as Chief Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining the private sector, Ken spent 20 years in the Air Force and the NSA in multiple technical and Senior Analyst positions.

Deputy, Office of the CTO
Steve oversees all strategic initiatives within the office of the CTO. He is a published author and noted speaker on the topics of cybersecurity and technology. His passion for technology and creating a secure, trusted environment inspired him to join the company in 2015. Prior to joining Ionic Security as its first Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Steve spent 12 years in the Air Force as a Cyber Warfare Officer and held multiple positions to include Detachment Commander, White House Military Office CISO, and DOD developer/operator.
Jon Versteeg
Chief Financial Officer
Having leadership roles in both public and venture backed technology companies, Jon is no stranger to the demands of scaling in fast growing, innovative environments. His twenty-five plus years of experience include Joulex (now part of Cisco Systems), Internet Security Systems (now part of IBM), Digital Communications Associates and a number of other technology firms delivering software solutions and services on a worldwide basis. Jon has a Finance degree from University of Georgia and MBA from Georgia State University.
