Adam Ghetti
Founder/CEO
Adam Ghetti, technologist and entrepreneur, founded Ionic Security in 2011 to address the problem of trust in a cloud and mobile enabled world.He has over 15 years of experience building large-scale systems in multiple Internet-related markets. He is an expert in complex systems and task automation and has in depth applied knowledge of application security, network security, data security, and artificial neural networks.Most recently, he was recognized by Forbes as a 30 under 30-thought leader in technology and by the World Economic Forum as a 2015 technology pioneer.
Kevin Mandia
CEO, FireEye
Kevin Mandia is the CEO of FireEye, a global cyber security company that protects organizations from cyber attacks. Prior to FireEye, Kevin founded Mandiant Corporation and as CEO, grew it to a profitable, self-funded organization with approximately 500 employees and over $100M in revenue.In the private sector, Kevin served as a director in the security consulting divisions of Sytex (Lockheed Martin) and Foundstone (McAfee).Kevin co-authored two books on responding to security breaches, taught advanced graduate classes on cyber security at George Washington University and Carnegie Mellon University, and provides regular cyber security commentary and analysis for national print and broadcast media.
Ted Schlein
Managing Partner, KPCB
Mr. Schlein focuses on early-stage technology companies in the enterprise software and infrastructure markets. Since 1996, he has led KPCB's investments in a number of security companies, including ArcSight (IPO, then sold to HP) and Internet Security Systems (IPO, then sold to IBM). Ted was the founding CEO of Fortify Software, a pioneer in the software security market and now an HP company. He serves on the board of directors of 3VR, Area 1 Security, IronNet Cybersecurity, Shape Security, Synack and Trusona. Additionally, Ted oversees KPCB's investments in Bit9 and Endgame Systems.
Tom Noonan
Operating Partner, TechOperators
Tom Noonan is a General Partner at TechOperators. Tom is the former chairman, president and chief executive officer of Internet Security Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: ISSX), which was acquired in 2007 by IBM for $1.3B. Tom Noonan and Chris Klaus launched ISS in 1994 to commercialize and develop a premier network security management company. Under Tom’s leadership, ISS revenue soared from startup in 1995 to nearly $400 million dollars in its first decade. The company grew to more than 2,000 employees, with operations in more than 36 countries.
Tom Mawhinney
General Partner, Icon Ventures
Tom Mawhinney joined Icon Ventures in 2003 as a General Partner, bringing a 15-year background in the technology industry as both a venture capitalist and an entrepreneur. Tom has a wide range of technology investing experience and brings a passion for helping to scale young, rapidly growing companies. His venture investing capabilities were acknowledged when he was named to the AlwaysOn Venture Capital 100 Power Players in the Cloud and Entrepreneurial Power Player - West lists.
Mike Gordon
Managing Director, Meritech Capital Partners
Mike Gordon was a founder of Meritech in 1999. He currently focuses on the communications infrastructure and applications, mobile, datacenter and clean technology sectors.

Robert Ball
Chief Legal Counsel
Robert serves as Chief Legal Counsel and oversees all legal, regulatory, and legislative policy aspects of the company. He also serves as the company's Global Privacy Officer. Previously, Robert was a partner at Sutherland, Asbill & Brennan and a member of the firm’s Cybersecurity & Privacy team. Prior to Sutherland, Robert was a senior executive at Akamai Technologies (NASDAQ: AKAM) in Cambridge, MA. As General Counsel, he managed Akamai's initial public offering and oversaw all aspects of its corporate legal affairs. Following the IPO, Robert launched Akamai’s Business & Corporate Development team and managed Akamai’s corporate strategy, strategic partnerships and joint ventures, M&A, and technology licensing. He also later served as Vice President, International, where he directed Akamai's international expansion and rapid growth across Asia and Europe.
Mike Bass
Head of Customer Strategy
Mike Bass is the Head of Customer Strategy for Ionic Security. Prior to joining Ionic, he ran Security Strategy and Standards at Citi. Mike has over 25 years of experience in cryptography and security in financial services, healthcare and the US military. He has a B.S. in Information Technology, and his experience includes tenures at Entrust, PGP, Certicom, Baltimore Technologies, NetLock, Montgomery Securities, Loral Space Systems, HP and the US Air Force.
Marge Breya
Chief Marketing Officer
Margaret (Marge) Breya is Ionic's chief marketing officer. She oversees marketing, branding, demand generation, communications and developer/enterprise data strategy. Prior to joining Ionic, Marge served as executive vice president and chief marketing officer at Informatica where she oversaw all marketing operations worldwide and the Informatica Education business. Previously, she served as HP’s senior vice president of marketing services, where she was responsible for optimizing marketing investment across the entire company.Marge has also served as executive vice president and general manager at SAP, executive vice president, general manager and chief marketing officer at Business Objects, chief marketing officer and chief strategy officer at BEA Systems and senior vice president of marketing at Sun Microsystems.
Ken Green
Vice President, Product Development
Ken has been a builder and user of information, application and network security products for over 25 years. He is passionate about delivering products that solve real business problems and enable people to make better and faster decisions. Ken has a diverse background in product development and security operations in both the Federal government and the commercial security product and services industries. He currently serves as Vice President of Product Development at Ionic Security.
Ben Halpert
Vice President, Risk and Corporate Security
Ben is a noted author, speaker, and practitioner of risk management, security, privacy, and compliance. He is also the founder of the non-profit Savvy Cyber Kids that creates and delivers age-appropriate security, privacy, bully response, and cyber ethics resources and educational tools that enables youth, families and school communities to be empowered by technology. Prior to joining Ionic Security, Ben was the Director of Risk Management and Compliance for McKesson and spent over 11 years in Corporate Information Security at Lockheed Martin.
Mike Rogers
Head of Customer Success
Mike Rogers is Global Head of Customer Success for Ionic. In this role, Mike is responsible for understanding customer’s challenges specific to data management and how to address them via the Ionic Platform.Mike has spent years assisting organizations develop and deliver better ways to ensure trust & privacy for their data. Most recently, Mike spent 4 years at RSA, the Security Division of EMC. His responsibilities included both data protection and leading RSA’s GRC enterprise group in North America. In addition, Mike spent 7 years at PGP, focused around data protection.
Jeff Scheel
Chief Business Development Officer
Jeff Scheel is an experienced business development and corporate development executive focused on leading the build/buy/partner strategy for enterprise security companies. Most recently Jeff was SVP of Corporate Development, Alliances and Strategy for Symantec. Prior to that he held similar roles on the executive teams at Mandiant (merged into FireEye) and ArcSight (merged into HP), where he helped build successful ecosystems of technology partnerships and strategic alliances with systems integrators and cloud infrastructure providers. Jeff holds a BA from Stanford University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Ken Silva
Vice President, Operations and Infrastructure
Prior to joining Ionic Security in 2014, Ken was the SVP of Cyber Strategy at ManTech, and prior to that he was the Senior Executive Advisor on Cyber Technologies at Booz Allen Hamilton. From 2000 to 2010, Ken held multiple leadership positions at VeriSign, such as Chief Security Officer and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to joining the private sector, Ken spent 20 years in the Air Force and the NSA in multiple technical and Senior Analyst positions.
Gabby Sirner-Cohen
Vice President, People Operations
Gabby’s built a career focused on the people. In her current role, she is responsible for finding, growing and keeping outstanding talent at Ionic. Prior to that, Gabby spent 7 years at Google, Inc. (now Alphabet!) where she focused on fostering an ongoing communication loop between execs and employees. She harnessed the voice of employees to foster a culture of transparency, fairness and inclusivity and managed Google’s employment brand during Google’s most recent years at the top of the Great Place to Work list. Gabby also spent time in the non-profit and philanthropic worlds as a program officer at the Charles and Lynn Schusterman Family Foundation.
Jon Versteeg
Chief Financial Officer
Having leadership roles in both public and venture backed technology companies, Jon is no stranger to the demands of scaling in fast growing, innovative environments. His twenty-five plus years of experience include Joulex (now part of Cisco Systems), Internet Security Systems (now part of IBM), Digital Communications Associates and a number of other technology firms delivering software solutions and services on a worldwide basis. Jon has a Finance degree from University of Georgia and MBA from Georgia State University.
